Look, I'm not saying that my Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macros will make you uber leet, but it will positively elevate you from the bottom. Maybe it's time to give it a try. Let’s be honest. The Enhancement Shaman is NOT an easy class to play. In fact, it is one of the most difficult. The priority casting system may be ridiculously simple for individuals with mad multitasking skills, but without an Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macro for the average player, it is insanely hard to prioritize spells, while at the same time healing yourself and party members from incidental damage, changing / renewing totems, purging and casting Windshear when applicable, and trying to keep pace with the 1-2 button clicking DPS.

Below you will find my Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macros including my setup. I have added /startattack to all my macros so you are guaranteed to be in attack mode. In previous macros I often found myself just standing around.

MAIN or TRASH MACRO

/startattack

/console Sound_EnableSFX 0

/castsequence reset=6

magma totem, stormstrike, lava lash, earth shock, fire nova

/console Sound_EnableSFX 1

Totems:

Strength, Mana or Life Stream, Windfurry ** The macro will drop Magma Totem, so don't worry about including it with your totem setup. Just make sure you're in melee range when you start mashing on the macro. Renew Magma Totem if it dies.

The Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macros won’t work if there is no fire totem down; Magma, Flametongue, etc. In raids I will usually use Healing Stream in place of Mana, because better classes already have that covered, and I will normally only drop totems when there are more than 3 mobs.

BOSS MACRO /startattack /console Sound_EnableSFX 0 /castsequence reset=6 stormstrike, lava lash, flame shock, fire nova, lightning shield, stormstrike, lava lash, earth shock, fire nova /console Sound_EnableSFX 1

BOSS FIGHTS Totems: Strength, Fire Elemental, Mana or Life Stream, Windfurry

Notice that my Boss Macro is slightly different from my Main Macro in that Magma Totem is removed, and I have woven Flame Shock into the Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macro. Remember, the Main Macro drops Magma Totem, so NEVER use it on boss fights or your Fire Elemental will be dismissed. BIG mistake and waste. So consider your setup well when adding my Enhancement Shaman Rotation Macros to your Action Bars.

From this point on all you’re doing is mashing on the Boss Macro, casting Maelstrom and the occasional heal when needed. If your Fire Elemental dies, you will need to drop a magma totem to replace it. That’s it!

Additional macros: SHAMANISTIC RAGE #showtooltip /startattack /cast Shamanistic Rage /use 13 /use 14

CHAIN LIGHTNING (3 or more targets) – 5 Stacks Maelstrom #showtooltip Chain Lightning /startattack /cast Chain Lightning

LIGHTNING BOLT (single target) – 5 Stacks Maelstrom #showtooltip Lightning Bolt /startattack /cast Lightning Bolt ** I use the ShockandAwe addon to display when Maelstrom reaches 5 stacks. That’s about the only thing I use ShockandAwe for besides informing me of when my weapon buffs wear off.
