There are a myriad of different methods to get rid of unwanted hair nowadays and using bleach can be an effective way to make your facial hair seem less apparent. Bleaching is a simple, effective method that can be used by both men and women and although it doesn't actually remove the hair, it is less noticeable because the pigment has been removed.
Like any hair removal technique, bleaching comes with both pros and cons and these should be explored before undertaking this procedure
1.Because bleaching does not remove the hair from the root there is not the pain associated with other techniques like waxing and tweezing that work by removing the hair from the follicle.
2.A lot of more permanent treatments require several trips to a beauty salon before they start to show results. With bleaching the desired outcome can be achieved in as little as ten minutes in the privacy of your own home.
3.If you compare the cost of bleaching to going to a salon for a waxing or electrolysis treatment you can see why it has been a popular method of reducing the appearance of facial hair for so long. The cost effectiveness is increased further if you decide to do it yourself with a kit bought from a supermarket or drug store.
1.The way bleaching works can be found in it’s name – it uses a form of diluted bleach. For this reason it is vital that a skin patch test is done before you apply it to your face to see if any irritation occurs. It is also very important that you remove the cream immediately after the recommended treatment time to avoid burning and even permanently damaging your skin.
2. A lot of the success rate with bleaching depends on the colour of your skin as someone with dark and coarse facial hair will not see the same result as a person with very fine, light coloured hair.
3. As discussed previously, bleaching doe not actually remove the hair on your face, only lightens it to a point where it is not noticeable anymore. Regular touch ups will be necessary when the pigment eventually returns to the hair to maintain the desired look.
