Hearing Both Sides of the Story with the Color Laserjet CM2320fxi

Even with cutting edge technology at our disposal, the ultimate decisions arising from purchasing office equipments still lie in our hands. This is true with regards to trade-off considerations. Bigger prices sometimes do not mean feature-complete, while cheap does not necessarily mean garbage-bound. The key is determining the logical needs of the office as quality-wise as possible while staying in the safety net of the budget. The same is true with the Hp Color Laserjet CM2320fxi.

The first part of the story starts with the discussion of what this printer can do to cater your office needs. At $800 to $1000 dollars per unit, this is one of the outstanding laser AIOs an average office can have. AIO stands for All In Ones, and the word “all” gets literal with the printer. Some of its features include USB and Ethernet connection types, legal-size documents as its maximum standard paper size, four cartridges, four ink colors, a 21 ppm rated color and mono speed, a 1200 ppi optical scanner resolution, a maximum scan area of  8.5” by 14”, an input capacity of 300 sheets, and a duty cycle of 40,000 pages per month. It is also network-ready, which is why this printer is clearly ideal for a workgroup or small office. It scans, prints, and faxes over a network and can be used either as a standalone color copier, fax machine, or even as an email sender that also has the ability to scan to a pc on the network.

Added features that make the HP Color Laserjet CM2320fxi a great office buddy are a standard 160MB memory stick expandable to 416MB, flash memory support of the following types: Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO, MultiMediaCard, Compactflash, Memoty Stick, SD Memory Card, xD Picture card. This printer also supports a vast array of operating systems from MS Windows Server 2003 to MS Windows XP Tablet Edition. On the power consumption side, it operates at 460 watts, 120 volts-60 Hz AC, 9.2 watts on sleep mode, and 27 watts on standby mode.

Perhaps one of the most important features of this printer is duplexing-the ability to print on both sides of the paper. Not all printers have this feature. In fact, some expensive ones come equipped with the most advanced and most number of features but almost always leave duplexing out. On the other hand, some expensive models are equipped with duplexers but in exchange, you will inevitably be paying for other features you may not need.

The HP Color Laserjet CM2320fxi measures 19.6 x 19.4 x 25.6 in. and weighs 1.2 pounds. The total package weight is 115.15 lbs.
