How to Make a Paper Gun That Shoots With a Trigger

Today we'll be looking at a tutorial on how to make a paper gun that shoots with a trigger. Back when I was a little younger (time for nostalgia) we used to make stuff similar to this all the time. It used to bother our teachers a little bit, but some of them actually got into it! I'm assuming that none of you will be using these things to annoy your teachers, right? Good. Let's get started.

What I'm basically going to do is cover some of the basics in the text that you're reading, and then once you get to the bottom of this article you can watch the video. I know a lot of people are visual learners so I'm sure it will be easier to learn how to make a paper gun that shoots by watching a video explanation.

A few things you'll need are:

Tape
Several sheets of paper (obviously)
Rubber bands
Scissors

This paper gun is actually pretty simple to make since you're basically just rolling several pieces of paper. There isn't any tricky origami stuff involved. One thing to keep in mind is that you need to make sure the paper rolls that you make are sturdy. If they're not, the paper gun will rip itself apart when you shoot it. I learned this the hard way and had to do it over again.

If you find any weak ends after you roll the paper you can simply take a pair of scissors and cut off the weak ends. Using some extra tape can really help keep things tight and strengthened. As you'll see in the video, some of the tubes will be cut shorter than the others. This will give them a bit of extra strength by reducing the stress on them when the paper gun is fired.

Be sure that you have a lot of tape available since you're going to need it to hold the tubes together. Like I said, the paper gun will need to be strong since it's going to be pulled on by rubber bands. You'll see exactly what i mean in the video.
