Your article summary might be the most essential portion of the article following the title. Why is that? Because the title and the summary are what visitors see when looking through search engine entries. So as to get folks to read your article, you need to get their interest with a very good summary. Here are three ideas to attract a reader's interest:
1) Ask a pertinent question that includes your search keywords and phrases. Identify precisely what the readers are trying to do. What's the difficulty they're attempting to solve, the question they're trying to answer. Perhaps your readers need to save a romantic relationship, stop a dog from chewing shoes or earn money on the internet. Whatever it happens to be, put it in the form of a question to connect with the readers and begin the thinking process. Once you ask a question in the initial sentence of your summary, readers will continue to next sentence to get the answer.
2) Answer the question. In one succinct sentence, tell the reader precisely how to solve their dilemma. You will not get into any real detail here, naturally, but you need to let the readers that you have the answer to their question, the information they need. The readers need to know that a far more detailed answer lies within your article and they only have to continue reading to get it.
3) Tell readers what they need to do and exactly why. Begin the third sentence of the summary with an action verb for your readers, something like "Learn how," "Find out about" or "Learn what they don't want you to know about." These aren't only action verbs, but they suggest that your readers will discover something when they read your article. Then tell the readers exactly what they'll find out. "Five methods to," "The secret of," "How the professionals," something like that. Bear in mind, you would like the readers to understand there's beneficial information in your article and all they need to do is read it.
Once you understand to write an eye-catching summary that gives readers a real reason why they should read your article, you should see your article views increase rapidly. Remember, whatever your topic, you will discover tons of articles just like it on the net. You need to give readers a real reason to select your article over all of the others.
