Bushcraft and Survival training is an essential skill for anyone who intends to spend time in the outdoors.
What would you do in a situation such as being confronted by a sudden storm, or lost while walking or hunting? What if your car broke down in a desolate place on the road?
It is when these situations arise that you are "thrown" into these dilemmas; some will cause pain and suffering, or even the worst possible situation, loss of life. Bushcraft training teaches you the knowledge and necessary skills needed to stay alive until help is at hand.
The most common problem is that when you are in an emergency situation you panic. This costs you time. Bushcraft Training teaches you how to assess the situation, remain calm and confident in the full knowledge that you have the required skills to survive the crisis.
In severe weather conditions a person can only survive for 2 - 3 hours exposed to the elements. A Bushcraft Training Course will take you through everything that you need to know to form a life saving shelter no matter what the conditions, with any materials that you can find. Once you have a shelter, you will also need a fire with and learn how to make this without matches or a lighter, even if it has been raining for days.
Statistics reveal that most rescues occur within 3 days of being lost or incapacitated so food isn't that big of a requirement but water is. The human body is made up of about 75% water and will start to deteriorate after about 3 days without it. Therefore it is essential to learn how to find water and how to make it pure enough so that you don't get ill.
One of the most common mistakes is that you think that "it could never happen to me." This is no reason not to be fully prepared.
