It is possible to highlight that men are becoming more fashion conscious due to the different television programmes that talk about men's fashion and from observing the daily attire of celebrities. Across Europe, countries such as France put a bigger emphasis on looking good and a notable increase in sales of cosmetic products designed specifically for men can be seen. However, fashion conscious men are not only present in Europe but also in continental Asia in countries such as Japan, where the emphasis for men is on having pretty, delicate youthful looks with the aid of cosmetics. This is highlighted by the fact that one fifth of the entire men's global market in cosmetics is now accounted for by Japan, which is huge proportionally, for just one country.
